Twin Towers

Every morning when I went
to School,
I looked left as a rule;
There stood
Twin Towers in grace and
style,
From my apartment less than a mile.
I remember that beautiful sight,
Seen from my street in the morning light.
It feels like I've lost a friend,
a neighbor I did so much depend.
But I'm not alone as I see,
Others with my thoughts agree:
Thank you Rudolph Giuliani, our mayor,
For it was you who did declare,
That Jews, Christians and Muslims in this fight,
Are together to see wrong and right.

On
Septembers eleventh day,
The sky
was smoky black and grey
From the
falling Tower Twins
Burying
thousand lives within
Some
trapped in the fiery cage:
Parents
of children - my age
They are
in my thoughts today
On this
September's eleventh day

Now I
can see at night.
Two
bright beams of light
Going up
the heavens to say,
To those
who died today,
“We love
you & miss you all the time,
You will
always live in hearts like mine.”
