The Benji Kaplan Jazz Trio
From an early age Benji was exposed to music from all
over the world. He played middle eastern percussion
as a young child having been exposed to it by his
father who played professionally. When he was about
11 years old he got his first guitar, and has
continued studying the instrument ever since. He is
currently finishing his BFA in Jazz Performance at New
School University. Benji Is also performing in and
around town with Jazz musicians from the New York area
at various clubs and restaurants. Some of His biggest
Influences are Pianists, Bud Powell and Errol Garner,
Alto Saxophonist, Charlie Parker, and Tenor
saxophonist, Coleman Hawkins, all whom are deeply
rooted in the swing and Bebop traditions of Jazz.

Elaine Lachica

A classically trained  voice (Peabody Conservatory of Music), and a critically acclaimed classical singer, (Mostly Mozart Festival, Lincoln Center and soprano soloist under conductor Andrew Parrott for the New York Collegium), Elaine brings her immense talent into songs that she performs (Voice and Piano) with hypnotic chemistry with her band:
Ryan Cavan (Drums), Rich Chapple (Bass), Andreas Altmann (Guitar)

Second Performance 9-11PM
An Evening of Jazz with Rana Farhan

Persian born artist Rana Farhan sings in a cool, bluesy style that erases all borders and transcends time. Performing selections from The Great American Songbook and other song gems, Rana sings with great expression and a style reminiscent of the great masters Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan among others. She is a delightful performer, full of passion and surprise. Guitarist Steven Toub provides the perfect accompaniment and complimentary lead lines to these classic jazz standards. The two artists share a passion for music and a love of life, and they create music which reflects this.

Billboard Award winning singer-songwriter Jeffrey Paul Bobrick performs
throughout the east coast, sharing his distinctive, fun and moving music to
appreciative audiences. He recently appeared on WOR radio, where Rock 'n'
roll Hall of Fame DJ Joey Reynolds said: "Jeffrey Paul Bobrick writes very
clever, bright and intelligent songs. Great writing, lovely music. It's wonderful!"

NLX's second residency - "The Spring" continues into Summer residency
at Vivaldi as her fans want more.
The first extended residency, last year, launched her career. She emerged from it with a large following and established herself as major singer/songwriter
 on the New York scene and beyond. The current "Spring Residency"  that started in April and is now going into the summer, is a celebration of the ongoing success of her blossoming career.
